Bicycle Routes in Taiwan

While I was a child, the bicycle was a much enjoyed plaything for many of us. We all have one rusting away in the garage. But, when you thought the bike was pedaling its way into yesteryear, it reappears in Taiwan with a fresh new look and become more and more popular.

Fourteen years ago, the chairman of Giant Bicycles, King Liu, established the Giant Sports Foundation that promised to transform Taiwan into a "bicycle kingdom." With government support, the foundation has since helped promote cycling to become one of the most popular weekend recreational activities. Hence, more and more bicycle routes have been set up in Taiwan. And the Taipei City has begun increasing the number of bicycle racks at MRT stops, and even allowing cyclists to take their bikes on the train at certain stations. I think that it is very convenient for the riders can take their bikes to go everywhere.

There are many recommended bicycle routes in Taiwan, but the most recommended bicycle routes in Taiwan is Hualian County. It's called "Hualian Port Scenic Route"-five star route famous for its dazzling scenic variety. You will see the vastness of the Pacific Ocean, the majesty of the Meilun River, and the beauty of the Hualian shoreline. This interesting route also crosses paths with a historical railway. I love this kind of route, it's can really make you relax. So, why not ride your bicycle and experience it for yourself!
